Head-on collisions between two cars are often fatal. When a pickup truck is involved, the likelihood that someone will be killed is even higher. On August 6, this proved true once again.

Jason Ware was driving his pickup truck at high speeds when he collided with two cars: a Nissan Altima and a Ford Thunderbird. The first crash with the Nissan did not injure either driver, but the second crash was fatal.

Dannielle Boser was driving her Thunderbird when Ware's truck collided head-on with her. She was pinned in the wreckage when her frontend crumpled under the impact from the truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Police Looking for Ware Before the Crash

Shortly before this head-on collision took place, El Mirage police officers received a report of a Ford pickup driving erratically in the area northwest of Phoenix. Officers responded to the call, but they received word of the collision as they were on their way to investigate the first report of erratic driving.

Bill Louis, the assistant Police Chief in El Mirage, said that investigators are awaiting a toxicology report to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash. However, he added that "some witness statements and other information" led them to "look into the possibility that Ware was impaired at the time of the accident."

We should know soon whether Dannielle Boser's wrongful death was caused by a drunk driving or by someone who was simply driving too fast.
